The internet has been used to gain success by many entrepreneurs and domain owners. An entrepreneur engages in a business on the internet, and a domain owner has an IP address that provides easily recognizable and memorizable names to numerically addressed internet resources.
Entrepreneur Christopher Knight started selling Kit Kat candy bars on the school playgrounds and began a professional DJ business at the age of sixteen by providing music for school events, weddings, and party events. He now owns EnzineArticles.com, "the worlds largest Web community and content distribution system for articles by expert authors, with over 2 million monthly visitors." He also founded an e-mail newsletter publishers resource site, EmailUniverse.com.
There are 21 internet entrepreneurs that are under 21 years of age, and making huge sums of money. A few are Catherine Cook, who launched the website myyearbook.com and making thousands of dollars; Ashley Qualls is 14 years of age has a web site called WhatEverLife.com and is already a multimillionaire; David Wilkerson age 14 is an internet video game nerd; and Chloe Spencer launched the fan site neopetsfanatic.com and earns thousands of dollars each month.
Developing domains takes a lot of work, but there are companies that will help develop a domain. Selecting a name that captures online traffic will make money. After a domain is developed it can be sold. There are some domain developers that buy and sell domains in order to build enough equity to buy a more expensive domain. Domains can be developed into a very useful website or into an online business.
