Encouraging Stories of Internet Entrepreneurs and Domain Investors

Although only about 30% of the people who invest their time and money in a home businesses on the internet make a profit there are some out there who have actually accomplished much. For instance, the top 30 internet entrepreneurs have made from $100 million to $18.5 billion in ten years or less. The top two on that list are Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who launched “Google” in 1998. It is reported that their net worth is $18.5 billion. The next top five include the men who launched Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, Broadcast.com, and PayPal. It is reported that their net worth ranges from $1.3 billion to $8.7 billion.

Not many of us are technical gurus like these guys, but there are many other ways to make money on the internet. For instance, Chad Hurley started his website, YouTube, while working elsewhere and was primarily responsible for the tagging and video sharing aspects of the site. Little did he know that a little website that he designed in order to share videos from a dinner party with friends would become one of the most popular sites on the internet. This is primarily because the site allows members to set up their own channels to share their videos. Hurley sold this popular video-sharing business to Google in October, 2006 for a whopping $1.65 billion.

There is no age-limit to being successful on the internet, and not all of the success stories are about men. For instance, among the top 20 successful internet entrepreneurs that are under the age of 21 are Catherine Cook, who managed to get 5 Million Members on her website, Myyearbook.com, and Ashley Qualls, who at the age of 14, created WhatEverLife.com, and is already a multi-millionaire.
