Frank Schilling

Frank Schilling is known as a big name in the domain field. However, this man started with very humble roots, that didn't even begin in America. This 38-year-old came from Russia, and when he and his family moved to Canada in 1971, he didn't even speak English. His family didn't have much, and suffered again when their other son died from Asthma when Frank was 16.

By now, everyone knows that owning a domain name is like owning land, on which you can add as much "curb appeal" as you want. The more added, the more valuable it becomes. Frank worked hard at what he has achieved, and it has burned a hole in his wallet. However, he has never sold any of his domain names at a loss. Perhaps it's from his poor childhood, but success hasn't really changed him. He's supposed to be "one of the nicest people in the world." He owns many .coms, and his company, Name Administrator, Inc. in the Cayman Islands, grosses over the 20 millions.

This only started around seven years ago. When the .coms were thought to be owned by many big names, he made a way to make it work. This is all documented in an interview in 2002 on Tech TV with Matt Markovich. The "Generic Top Level Domain Rerouting System" was patented in 2001, and David Kesmodel included some of Frank's success in his book, "The Domain Game." Frank has proven what can be done, regardless of how life begins, with a lot of hard work.
